A Fun Filled PA Day at CCSA
The Canadian Contemporary School of Art organised a fun filled and creative PA Day on June 3rd
Let’s take you through the activities our young champions enjoyed throughout the day. Children indulged in a wide array of activities starting with fabric art where they were encouraged to unleash their creativity and create a piece of art or craft using the fabric provided to them. Our young artists were quite proud of their work and were eager to take on the next challenge: balloons and body art. Abstract painting was one of the favourites of the day since our budding artists got to experience the thrill of painting their imagination wearing their favourite capes! It was truly a delight to see these young super-heroes at work.
After back to back activities and a lot of fun & frolic, it was time for lunch but with an artistic CCSA twist. Our little artists were encouraged to fold their pita breads in different shapes, styles and top it with their favourite dressing! It turned out be a yummy adventure for the hungry tummies!
Post lunch it was time to appreciate nature and the children were taken to a park where with the help of of a drone they were given a perspective of how birds view us and our surroundings from such a distance. It was a truly fascinating as well as enriching experience for them to get an aerial view of themselves via the images and footage captured by the drone. After an eventful outdoor stint, it was time to head back to the school.
The day's final exercise was creative and interesting, emphasising the significance of artistic expression. Children were instructed to lie down on chart papers and draw the contour of the kid next to them. Once they finished making these outlines, the chart papers were used to create a boundary. This boundary which had an outline of the entire group was then filled in to create city landscape, buildings, rivers and bio-diversity by our enthusiastic and creative geniuses. The end result was stunning and motivating. An enriching day met its logical culmination with children sharing their thoughts, views and feedbacks about the events of the day. We were delighted to know that children enjoyed all forms of artistic expression and some even stated that their favourite part was the lunch with an artistic twist!
The day ended with content, cheerful faces coupled with loads of laughter and with children taking back some key learnings such as the importance team work, cooperation, critical thinking and focus.
We at CCSA believe in fostering a creative learning environment where children of all abilities, are encouraged to explore and enrich their lives through art and a variety of creative activities. CCSA is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and positive environment for all children.
Signing off for now and looking forward to see you all next time with another round of creative activities specially curated for your young achievers!
