Art for Children With Special Needs

Due to interests expressed by parents, CCSA is proud to introduce a variety of art classes uniquely designed for children with special needs. This program encourages students of any limitation to express themselves creatively while engaging with various artistic tools, materials and concepts. Working one-on-one with each child, we will adapt and modify the projects to suit their condition and needs while emphasizing interactive learning and discovery in our art centre. This program will be available to toddlers as part of our Tot's Club and children ages 4-12. The classes will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Schedule: Based on the student's availabilities.

Fees: $70/hour

This exciting and innovative class is designed for parents and toddlers interested in a variety of fun and engaging art practices that promote skill development, cognitive awareness and creative interaction. Parents will join their toddlers in tackling projects that incorporate various subject matters, tools, and materials while working one-on-one with an early childhood development expert. Our unique learning environments support and nurture the child's creative process and promote imaginative approaches to making art. Art for toddlers encourages participation, enhances their problem-solving skills, and provides them with an outlet for self-expression. The classes will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Age 4-12

This exciting program offers one-on-one support from an early childhood development expert who will assist the child in various art projects that promote self-exploration and discovery. Each specially designed class will incorporate different materials and tools, including watercolour paints, clay, crayon art, illustration, architecture design and construction and more. Each art activity aims to support and foster cognitive awareness, behavioural development, and gross and fine motor skills. Under one-on-one supervision, these enjoyable exercises allow children to express their feelings, work independently and promote concentration and awareness. Long-term, the classes help children build confidence, self-esteem, encourage imaginative and innovative approaches to applying themselves and problem-solving and strengthen fine and gross motor skills. The student's artwork will be showcased in our art exhibition at CCSA, held seasonally. The showcases allow children to view their art outside the classroom and feel a sense of accomplishment towards their work!
